There, I said it. Don’t do those make money online surveys if you wish to use the internet as a serious medium for creating a full time income that you can live off for any substantial period of time. Why is that? Because doing alone surveys quite simply doesn’t pay off in the long run.

Most of the surveys you do will offer you nothing more than shopping vouchers or credits at a certain store. Some may even just offer you discounts. Believe it or not, but doing such surveys is more a form of frugal saving as opposed to making money. That’s great that you can get a $200 voucher to purchase your favourite CD’s, but tell me, can you deposit such a voucher in the bank? Can you sell the voucher for anything? Unfortunately not, therefore you’re not really making any money at all by participating in such schemes.

The people who create these online surveys are the ones making the real money. You’re basically filling out a form for them and they get paid some commission from a larger corporation for the completed survey, which may have cost you hours of your time. The commission they get may be negligible, perhaps just a few dollars, but what they pay you is even worse. You’ll commonly get a percentage of less than fifty percent of this commission, even though you did all the hard work yourself. This really isn’t a good investment of your time at all.

So why not become one of the people that runs those online surveys? Surely they wouldn’t just be giving money away for free now would they? And of course they’re not, they make a big amount of money online by having people complete surveys for them. So just what is involved in running your own online survey site?

First of all, signup with a network that offers you money for completed surveys. A number of larger companies will do this, and the list is so extensive that I’ll make no attempt to list all the companies here, you can do your own research for that quite easily. Then, create a site that offers to pay people to complete surveys. The hardest part is of course getting this site ranked within the search engines, however if you’ve followed my tutorials on website optimization, then you’ll be running one of the top make money online survey sites, as opposed to being the person that simply fills the surveys out for little return.
